Initial Review, 8500 Miles on Tires

First, I bought these tires to serve my winter driving purposes in Colorado. I replaced my set of Yoko S-drive summer tires, and this is what I discovered:
These tires are more quite, and rode smoother than the summer Yokohomas, that was expected. However what I didn't expect was that these Kumhos did not perform as well as I thought they would in winter conditions, and were not as quite as I thought they would be.
This tire is much more suited for year round duty, with very occasional snow (vs my purpose of just duty in the winter months). This tire will get you through winter; however it will not fill any gaps in your lack of winter driving abilities, (for that buy Michelins).
Best trait about this tire is the price and because of that it performs well out of its price range, in all categories. I am still a fan and will buy Kumhos in the future.
