I had Bridgestone Blizzak Winter Duelers before the W965's on dedicated winter rims and I was hoping to get a couple more seasons out of them by going with a truck tire. The W965's are a true truck tire - lots of steel belts, a great load rating, heavy, and very deep tread. I think they are better suited for a plowtruck with a sander on the back. They did fine for the first half of their life ('04 Pilot loaded with kids), but now that they're down to the all season tread (50%), the tread is hard and they're just another all season tire on the Pilot. The noticeable weight of these on the Pilot probably hurt the gas mileage more that a regular snow tire would too. I love the Bridgestone Blizzak technology and would definitely purchase a bigger set of W965's if I start plowing with my pickup. I just replaced these with an OEM sized set of Blizzak DMV-1's for the Pilot - bring on the Connecticut ice and slush storms! No need to stay home the next ice storm with these - go get a coffee or go for out for breakfast in confidence. No wait seating. :)
