Initial Review, 49000 Miles on Tires

These tires came standard on my '07 F150 King Ranch with 20" rims. As others have mentioned, around the 4000 mile mark and in January, I noticed a slight vibration during cold days. This lasted considerably longer than a few minutes or a few miles. More like 30 minutes or 30+ miles. I think they develop a flat spot that tends to take a while to work itself out. At 40 degrees and up, they are fine. I also notice that it's difficult to stay in my lane on a highway that has any amount of ruts in it. The truck feels like it's all over the place however that could just be the wider tire.

Other than that, the tires are great. At 49k miles, the tread depth on all four is right at 6/32 of an inch. There is absolutely no dry rot or breaking on the sidewalls as others have mentioned. I do spray them every 1-2 months with some sort of tire shine so maybe that helped to "condition" them. These tires are surprisingly quiet on my truck at least.

During snowy weather in Southern Ohio, I am the guy passing 500-1000 cars @ 30-40 mph who are poking along @ 3-5 mph on the freeway because they are busy slipping and sliding in 4-8" of snow. I don't have that problem in my truck, at least in 4x4 High.

I'm on this site looking for possible replacements since they are about 4.5 years old and I like having more tread. I'm happy with the wear so far though. Pirelli makes some nice tires and I love the tread pattern and raised white lettering (RWL) which makes them stand out. I cannot find any other brand or style in this size with RWL AND that has an effective pattern.

More than likely, I will be purchasing this model of tire again.
