Initial Review, 1000 Miles on Tires After the initial break in, I finally got a chance to take it over the summit from Sacramento to Reno. Chain control was in effect and I was a little nervous for this would be my first time ever driving in a winter storm. These tires combined with my Honda Elements 4WD made it a breeze to go up and down the mountain while chain control was in effect mean while 2WD vehicles had to pull over and install chains. There was not one slip even when going over icy areas. I've read reviews about these tires being bad in the snow and ice but if you are driving the way your suppose to be driving in snow and ice, they won't let you down. Dry traction is excellent and they seem to hold up fine around corners. They are a little noisey but not unbarable. I've driven on noiser tires. I have yet to try them in deeper snow but I will update if and when I do. All in all, I'd definately recommend these tires for just about any type of driving.
