Follow-Up Review: 8,050 miles on tires
July 17, 2012
Update at 8050 miles these tires are completely worn, with cord exposed on one no tread on 3 and 4/32 on the 4th. Yokohama agreed to replace under warranty 3 of 4, so if that's the best i get then that's it. Tire rack customer service was excellent and painless in their handling of this issue. Sorry won't be giving Yokohama a chance to try again.
Initial Review: 7,000 miles on tires
June 07, 2012

Had avid on a focus previously and decided they would be a good replacement for the mazda's pirellis based on cost and reviews. However after only 700 miles while the ride is still excellent the road noise is abysmal. At city speeds 34-50 miles an hour they creat a thumping that even checking alignment hasn't been implicated so not sure the cause whether uneven wear or just pattern. Again the handling and ride is fine, there is no vibration, steering and turn in all great....just the noise.
