Sumitomo HTR Z III
Initial Review: 15,000 miles on tires
June 04, 2012

Pros: Great wet and dry traction. Cornering is linear and predicable. I could confidently push these as hard as I dared on the open roads. Never hydroplaned in them even though other tires probably would have.

Cons: Even though they start out very smooth they soon become noisy after about 3k. Mine developed heavy wear ont he inside edges of the tires and as I result I could only get about 15K out of them. I rotated every 5-6K so some of that could be my fault however the rest of the tread would not have lasted more than 20k

Conclusion: These tires wear quickly (duh, high performance summer tires)so only buy if you know you won't be going far. They wear like cheap tires and are loud like cheap tires but perform like expensive ones in the dry and wet.
