Pirelli Winter Carving
Initial Review: 3,000 miles on tires

These tire are studdded, always run studs. About my 10th set of snow tires. This is a review relative to other studded snow tires, not all seasons or summer performance. Traction on ice, snow and slush is absolute under extremes of grade and angle on mountain roads. Also the best on muddy lanes, logging roads and fields, really good in mud, thou the BMW x3 doesn't have the ground clearance for serious off roading. It is also the most comfortable tire. The trade off is tread flex, doesn't hold a tight corner when driven hard, have to drive dry tight turns like a normal person. Have had better dry cornering winter treads, but I like the superior bad condition traction of this tire more.
