Initial Review, 3,500 Miles on Tires This is the tire for 2007 and later Acura MDX vehicles. Having gone through 3 sets of tires in 65,000 miles in search of a tire that does not follow the road contures as the OEM Latitudes did or was so noisy that you couldn't hear the stereo and wore out in 18,000 miles like the F1 tires, I'm pleased to announce that the best so far are the Pirelli Scorpions. A very close second, and less expensive tire is the Grabber. These did very well for about 30,000 miles. They were quiet, comfortable and tracked well. The Scorpions, however, provide superior traction in wet and dry conditions and are fairly quiet. Most importantly, they track straight. I can remove my hand from the wheel without the car bolting for the sholder of the road. I'm am a little disappointed in the ride and noise. The ride is rough over railroad tracks and most holes. Noise, like white noise, starts around 35 mph, and you will think a window is open. The Socrpions are sticky tires. Consequently, handling is improved over the second best Grabbers which drifted through corners and were not particularly responsive to stearing input. I noticed no change in fuel consumption over the grabbers. In summary, this is a great tire for wet condition, reasonably comfortable and fairly quiet. It is the allaround best performing tire I have put on my MDX so far. Read All Reviews for This Tire | Write a Review for This Tire | ||||
