Initial Review, 20,000 Miles on Tires These tires came standard on my 2011 GTI MkVI. I had them rotated at 10k and 20k miles as recommended in the owners manual. After rotating them at 20k miles they became very noisy on smooth pavement. They now make a noticeable pulsing/growling/humming sound at slow speeds. There is also a noticeable "feathering" wear pattern on the tread blocks which is probably the primary cause of the noise. These tires need to be rotated every 5k miles, not the 10k that the owners manual recommends. If you purchase these tires, make sure to rotate them often to keep the wear even.
