Initial Review, 30,000 Miles on Tires

After reading some good reviews on this tire, and knowing that I had zero need for snow/ice considerations, I went with a set of these to replace the stock Michelin MXM4's that were spent after less than a year an a half (less than 30,000 miles).
Performance wise, these are superior to the Michelins in every way - Road noise was similarly tolerable, gas mileage was the same, they were substantially cheaper and held the road much better.
However, they have not aged gracefully. Less than two year after I bought them (about 30,000 miles on them now) tread is down below 4/32nds and I'm already having to look at a third set of tires with little more than 60,000 miles on my car. For a tire that claims a 400 tread life rating, I expected a lot better life out of these tires. This has been with regular rotations and no burnouts.
