Initial Review, 1,000 Miles on Tires Have use X-Ices before on two other cars. They were very good snow/ice tires. These are better! So far only 1000 miles but in recent snow/ice storm they showed their excellence. In fact, had to slow down a bit to enter flow of traffic. But, the confidence they inspire, whether coming to a sure stop at an intersection with black ice, cornering on a snow-covered road at 40-50 mph or cruising on icy freeway at 65, is worth every penny I paid for them. And with the new mileage guarantee which previous models I owned never had, I'll have them for four or five winters before they wear out.
