Follow-Up Review: 900 miles on tires

I previous reviewer noted that he was not impressed with certain performance characteristics of this tire as to compared to a high performance winter tire. Apparently, he doesn't understand that this tire is not catergorized as a high performance winter tire. Thus, the apples/orange comparison may mislead other perspective buyers. Please be aware of reviewers that obviously don't know the difference. Also, that reviewer indicated that there's 5,000 miles on a snow tire that's only been available since this past Septmeber....that's a lot of miles in just 2 months on a snow tire with very little snow. Seems like he might have purchased the wrong type of tire.
Initial Review: 800 miles on tires

I have to echo the positive comments of the last few previous reviewers. On mostly dry roads so far, I really can't tell much of an overall driving difference between these and the stock 3 season Michelin Primacy's that I replaced. In fact, with a few extra PSI's in them, they actually are more road responsive, seem even quieter, extremely comfortable (for a snow tire) and straight as an arrow on the highway. Had a little snow (1-2) a couple of days ago, and felt like I was driving on dry pavement. There might be a better pure winter tire for just exclusive snow traction, but I doubt if there's one with better combined winter tire characteristics. I've been driving for 30yrs, so I'm speaking from a lot of experience with various tire applications. Happy trails with these...assuming that the snow/ice traction will be as good as advertized.
