Follow-Up Review: 43,000 miles on tires
March 01, 2013
I bought these tires in Oct 2008 hoping to get 60k miles out of them since that's what they're rated. With 43k miles logged, the mechanic told me today when the car was inspected that the front tires only have another 1 or 2/32 left before they won't pass inspection. So these will need to be replaced before next winter and now I'm just hoping to get another 2-3k out of them, which means they won't make it to even 50k. Certainly my driving style has an impact on tread life but overall I still think these are one of the best tires I've owned. Just wish they'd last the full 60k.
Initial Review: 24,000 miles on tires
September 17, 2011

I've had the Primacy MVX4's on my car for 3 years, accumulating only 24k miles. The first winter they were excellent in any type of snow. The 2nd winter they still performed great during winter conditions. But the 3rd winter, traction was noticeably decreased in snow over 3-4 inches. Performance, noise, and tread wear has been excellent except for moderate to deep snow. I am considering buying winter tires this year, as I anticipate the MXV4's will not perform well in the snow going into the 4th winter (despite having < 25k on them. If you don't plan to drive in snow, I highly recommend these tires. They are the best all-season tires I've driven in 20+ years of driving.
