Initial Review, 5,000 Miles on Tires I purchased these to replace the Factory Bridestone Potenzas on the used 2008 Civic Coupe I purchased that had 20,000 miles. While the Potenzas only had about 20,000 miles on them and the tread was acceptable, the noise was horrendous - even unbearable for any length of time. I used a cheap Radio Shack analog SPL meter and measured SPL on the same stretches of road at the same speed before and after the Michelins. Reudction in road noise was at least 10 dB SPL and up to 12 dB between 40 and 85 mph. For those not familiar, this is a HUGE difference.
