Initial Review, 800 Miles on Tires I purchased these tires because there weren't any MXV4s available at the time. I didn't have the tires long enough to test them out thoroughly since I returned them soon after I purchased them. The problem I had was excessive road noise. This manifested itself in several ways. At several consistent speeds up to 60 MPH, the tires would howl. I think the worst was at 55 MPH. As time went on, the sound at 55 MPH became an oscillating howl. The other issue was a low-level hum type noise which would oscillate as well. I replaced these with Goodyear Assurance ComforTread Touring which are great.
