Initial Review, 2,000 Miles on Tires I purchased these tires to replace my 245/40 /18R 93Y OEM Pirelli Cinturado P7s which I replaced at 31K miles. the Michelins live up to their reputation in handling, being marginally sharper in every respect than the Pirelli tires. The downside is in the road noise, ride and abrupt road impact transmission. the Michelins are quiet on smooth roads, but on worn, older sections and worn interstate they are harsher and noisier new than the Pirellis were when they were ready to be replaced.
