I purchased these tires to replace my 245/40 /18R 93Y OEM Pirelli Cinturado P7s which I replaced at 31K miles. the Michelins live up to their reputation in handling, being marginally sharper in every respect than the Pirelli tires. The downside is in the road noise, ride and abrupt road impact transmission. the Michelins are quiet on smooth roads, but on worn, older sections and worn interstate they are harsher and noisier new than the Pirellis were when they were ready to be replaced. All in all they are a good tire, especially if you are considering light track time, but
for my purposes and everyday driving they are not as versatile, in my opinion, as the OEM Pirelli. In addition, I have been observing about one MPG less with the new tires. The OEM Pirelli is a standard load rated "green LLR" high performance tire and the Michelin, rated ultra high performance, only comes in extra load. On both tires I was using the factory OEM standard light load pressures for up to three passengers.
