Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Initial Review: 300 miles on tires
March 28, 2012

Just replaced the stock Dunlop SP Sport 01's with the Michelin Super Sports and the difference is amazing! I anticipated the new tires would be a bit better, but they've far exceeeded my expectations. They are much quieter, they absorb more of the bumps (speed bumps in parking lots are noticeably less harsh), and yes the car does corner like it's on rails. Took a sharp corner near by house at a higher speed than normal and it felt like I was going to hit the curb...on the INSIDE of the turn...because I had so much more grip and didn't have the slight sideways drift that I'd experienced with the old tires.

Stock Dunlops lasted me to about 32k miles, so they were down to the wear bars. I'm certain that a brand new set of Dunlops would have also provided some improvement in perfomance, but the Super Sports are still far superior in my opinion. I'll try to remember to post an update once I have several thousand miles on them. Shouldn't take too long!
