Initial Review, 1,000 Miles on Tires
June 16, 2012

When I bought it three years ago, my '09 Civic Si was equipped with optional OE Michelin Pilot Exalto high-performance summer tires, and I was very impressed with them. When it came time to replace them, I opted for the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, and I could not be more pleased with these tires.

I am a hardcore driving enthusiast, someone who loves to drive. I maintain my cars carefully, I drive them enthusiastically (though not aggressively or outrageously) and I value performance, especially handling, above all when deciding to buy a new car. (My Civic Si is more fun to drive, for me, that other cars I test drove costing twice as much.) From the moment they were installed, these Michelins transformed the handling of my car; they are that much better than the already-great Exaltos!. Steering inputs immediately translate into vehicle movement; lateral grip is phenomenal; and wet weather traction is astounding. On top of all that, these tires are quiet-riding, and not especially uncomfortable over rough road surfaces.

If you are a driving enthusiast, I do not believe you could buy a better tire.
