Initial Review: 8,000 miles on tires

I had PS2s originally that were great but switched to Hankook Ventus V12s to save a few bucks. Those started out very good, even for autocrossing, but when the treadwear got low they became terrible both on autocross and in the wet for everyday driving. I went with the Super Sports next and these tires are fantastic. They are quiet, smoother and softer feeling than the PS2s and handle every bit as well. I went from a sad 7th place autocross finish in the old Hankooks to 1st place in my Boxter/Cayman S group (and 2nd FTD) going up against track prepped cars on slicks. Treadwear seems to be holding up well despite several autocrosses. Noise level is slightly increased as the miles pile on but not objectionable. Great handling for commuting or track days, good treadwear, comfortable ride, cheaper than the PS2s ... these tires are a no-brainer for me.
