Initial Review: 10,000 miles on tires
October 10, 2012

Its been 10,000 miles with these tires on my G37S. I did a plus size and went with 245/40/19s up front and 275/35/19s in the rear.
Pros: These are the best summer tires I have ever driven on with any car I've owned. The dry grip is fantastic and the wet grip is also excellent. To add, these tires are also very quiet and comfortable with a smooth ride. At 10,000 miles, I still have plenty of tread so the wear is excellent. With the stock tires, I was constantly setting off the TCS warning lights around corners with my G37. With these tires, I rarely set it off and have to try pretty hard to set it off.

For summer and warm weather driving, these are perfect.

Cons: These tires will make you drive much more spiritedly because the car sticks like glue. You will take exit ramps at 80 mph not because you need to, but because you can. More spirited driving probably will cause your breaks to wear faster :)

For winter driving, I noticed when I left my car outside when the temps were under 40 degrees, the tires were very stiff in the morning and I could get the car to slip if I drove spiritedly before the tires warmed up. When I kept the car in the garage over night, they were fine in the morning. These are a summer performance tire, but they can be exposed to slightly lower ambient temperatures than the RE050's which were my stockies. The RE050's firmed up at 50 degrees.

As with ANY summer tire, do NOT even think about using these in any level of snow. Even a slight dusting will cause these tires to slip and put yourself at risk.
