This is a barely street legal track tire. This is why I buy them. I drive to and from the track, some around town, and use them exclusively on the track. I have even purchased a top carrier to store the second set. You can switch them side to side and they communicate what is happening on the road very well. I have had 15 or 16 sets of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and they have always performed exceptionally. I do not buy Toyos or Nittos for my car. I drive the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups to the cords, put a new set on and am on my way. If you are buying these tires for local roads and local spirited driving, these have much more capability when they are hot, than what most drivers will ever need.
