Initial Review: 500 miles on tires

These tires are awesome! Replaced half worn OEM ContiContactPro tires primarily because at 30,000 miles they drove me nuts with noise. (They weren't all that quiet to begin with). Only after replacing the Conti OEM's with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's could I really appreciate the driving and handling potential of my CC.

Now this is NOT a sports car by any means, but like most German cars, it is meant to be driven as opposed to riding in it. Handling is markedly quicker and more precise. Drove yesterday in a downpour and honestly, from driving the car, it felt like I was on dry pavement.

As far as noise control, nearly anything would be an improvement over the Conti's. But I have to say, these are as quiet as I have experienced with any tire in my many years of driving. They also seem to absorb those annoying surface irregularities such as pavement cracks and patches. On really good surfaces such as newer highways and freeways, they are inaudible over other noises such as wind or engine sounds.

To sum it up, my car is a whole different machine with the Michelen PS A/S 3's. I look forward to every drive I take, and have even taken it out for a few joy rides. Why wouldn't I?
