Initial Review: 70,000 miles on tires
March 23, 2013

I have the 225/50 R17 model as the OEM tires on my Accord EX. I was pleasantly surprised to reach 70,000 miles on these V rated tires, and 2 are now legally bald. This is the most miles I have ever gotten on any tire. My driving is on the spirited side of average.

I consider these tires somewhat noisy. The ride is a little stiff on these 50 series tires, but not too much.

Dry performance was very good with this tire. Very stable, responsive, and good grip for a tire that went 70K.

The wet performance was hard to judge in drought stricken southern California. The wet traction was just OK. There seemed to be good resistance to hydroplaning when the tread was still decent. I never used them in snow.

I'm hoping to find a quieter tire that performs as well, but I might buy these again. Hope this helps.

I don't know how much of my ratings were affected by the car itself, but I'll find out soon.

I did have an '02 camry with the same size tires (different brand), but the Accord is vastly different in so many ways that affect tire reviews.
