OEM tires for my 2005 Cadillac STS V8 and were the worst tires I've ever owned.....and that's saying a lot because I am a comitted Michelin Man / Fan. Horrible traction - even dry not great, but wet and you were all over the place and snow and ice? Forget it. The car stayed in the garage. Worst part for me was the noise and harshness of the ride. I'm driving a $60,000 car and it felt and sounded like I was in a compact car. Simply horrible - loud, rough and you felt every bump. Unfortunately since I have the V8, there aren't a lot of options from which to choose as the front and rear tires are different sizes. Fortunately I Bridgestone Turanza Serenity are made in this size - although they aren't advertised as a matching set. You had to look for them separately. I've got about 3,000 miles on the new tires and it's night and day. So much smoother and QUIETER !!!! I feel like I'm actually driving a Cadillac again.
Sorry Michelin - almost every other set of tires I've had in cars and SUV's have been Michelin - but these MXM4's simply ----.
