Initial Review, 6,500 Miles on Tires I purchased these Michelin Pilot Exaltos in October 2007 to replace Geolanders, which were the original tires that came on my 2005 Subaru Forester. I had found the Geolanders to be quite noisy and "squeally" on corners, and was generally disappointed with their handling - they were just about adequate at best. Replaced them with the Michelin Exaltos at approx. 43K, and have found the Michelins a great improvement over the Geolanders. Since I am in the Baltimore-Washington area, and we didn't get receive much snow this winter, I can't comment on their snow performance in my first 6500 miles - but they have excellent dry traction and wet (rain) traction. Noise, or more correctly, lack thereof, is better than average. All in all, I am very pleased with these tires - they handle the road well, particularly in conjuction with all-wheel drive. These are not inexpensive tires, but I purchased them from Tire Rack for a good price, and was also fortunate to be able to get a $50 rebate from Michelin for buying a set up four tires. Tire Rack had them delivered very quickly from their Delaware warehouse to my home in Maryland for about $35.00 via UPS. All in all, I'm very pleased with the tires and my dealings with Tire Rack.
