OEM TIRE THAT THANKFULLY REPLACES AWFUL DUNLOPS THAT USED TO BE OFFERED WITH THIS VEHICLE.TIRE DOES WORK AS ADVERTISED TO STAY COOLER RUNNING AND HELPS TO SAVE FUEL.
COMPLETED A 502 MILE ROUND TRIP JOURNEY DURING JULY 4TH HOLIDAY IN MY GENESIS WITH 4 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD ABOARD.THE TRUNK WAS ALSO FULLY PACKED.TRIP CONSISTED OF 95% HIGHWAY MILES AT 65/70 MPH THROUGH OHIO, WITH THE TEMPERATURE SOARING TO 104 DEGREES THAT DAY AND THE A/C RUNNING AT THE MAXIMUM ALL THROUGHOUT THE TRIP.COLD TIRE PRESSURES WERE NOTED TO BE 33 PSI AT TRIP'S START, WHICH IS THE RECOMMENDED PRESSURE.
SINCE THE GENESIS HAS AN EXCELLENT TRIP INFORMATION SYSTEM, I MADE NOTE OF THE CAR'S PERFORMANCE: OVERALL TRIP MPG READOUT FINISHED AT 33.8 MPG, FOR A CAR WITH AN EPA ESTIMATED HIGHWAY MPG RATING OF 29.
I'D SAY THAT'S PROOF POSITIVE THE TIRE'S TECHNOLOGY WORKS, WITH ONE CAVEAT: THE MILEAGE GAINS ARE A FUNCTION OF TIME DURING HIGHWAY DRIVING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME;MORE HIGHWAY MILES, THE BETTER THE MPG.LOCAL 20/30 MINUTE TRIPS WILL LIKELY NOT ADD SUCH GAINS OVER EPA ESTIMATES.
COMFORT,STABILITY,TRACKING AND ESPECIALLY LOW NOISE WERE ALL NOTED.
A VERY FINE TIRE OVERALL THAT WOULD BE HARD TO BEAT.NOW ONLY EAGER TO EVALUATE IT'S PERFORMANCE IN LIGHT SNOW CONDITIONS THIS WINTER.
