Follow-Up Review: 50,380 miles on tires
I finally bought new tires at 50380 miles. In my last review i forgot to mention some vibrations but these may have been caused by the installer. If i am not happy with my new Generals i will move back to the Michelins.
Initial Review: 48,740 miles on tires
My driving is not very tire friendly so I am absolutely amazed that I managed to get 48K miles. The tires just hit the treadwear mark and I will drive them until the beginning of winter so I expect to get at least another 5 000 miles. These tires do not handle snow and ice as I expected and as treadwear decreased wet traction decreased significantly. The only thing I have done to maintain the tires is tire rotation every 5000 miles and I always check the tire pressure at regular intervals. I am very happy with these tires and the only reason why I am not buying them again is t price and I've decided to try a set General Altimax HP which are best sellers. If I do not like the Generals I will move back to the MXV4.
