Follow-Up Review: 59,245 miles on tires
February 02, 2014
*****UPDATE*****
These tires did not even come close to the 90,000 miles they are rated for!! Didnt even get past 60,000 miles on them before they needed replaced, very dissapointed in the Treadwear!
Overall a very good tire but to only get 59,245 miles on them is pathetic. Tires were always rotated and balanced.
Would not buy again as you can get a good tire for much less money that gets better treadwear than these Defenders did.
Initial Review: 50,000 miles on tires
November 22, 2013

I drive a 2011 Toyota Matrix for my job, I drive about 160 miles a day and the Defender is a very good tire, the only complaint I have at this point is the treadwear doesnt seem to be living up to the specs, they are rotated every 10k miles, now I havent had to replace them yet so who knows maybe they will get near the 80,000-90,000 mile range but I seriously doubt it...other than that these are just a great all around tire.
they are THE QUIETEST passenger tire I have ever drove on (as a comparison theres another 2011 Matrix where I work that got Uniroyal Tiger Paws on it and they are a average VERY NOISY tire and I mean NOISY!)
I actually put Defenders on my own vehicle (2004 Pontiac Gran Prix) and love the tires on my car as well but I only have 15,000 miles on those, so cant really comment to much on them.
I consider myself a very knowledgeable car person so I can be more criticle than the average car owner...and having said that I would recommend these tires to anyone who wants a very good and very quiet all season tire.
