Initial Review: 14,500 miles on tires

When I bought my new Passat I had the dealer pull the crappy Hankook OEM tires and upgrade me to Michelins. The Defenders with a V rating were available so I got them. The tires totally transformed the TDI Passat. It is now the quite riding car I had hoped for. I now have 14500 miles and can't even tell the tread is worn at all. Michelin truly makes the best tires in the business and I now run them on two different vehicles and both are amazing. A bit more expensive up front but they pay off in the long run. The defender is a super quite and long wearing passenger car tire so as long as you are not expecting them to handle like a high performance summer tire you will love them.
