Initial Review: 20,000 miles on tires

Michelin Defender tires are the best set of tires I've ever owned. I bought them the week Michelin released them and have not been displeased in their performance once. With 20K of the pending 90K down, these tires still deliver. Pleasant on the highway and in town as well. No lack of confidence in the rain or on wet roads.

For me, really my wife, the shoulders and cornering response was key with this tire. You see, she is really rough in the curves, but the Defender does not budge. Very little noticeable wear on the shoulders. She is notoriously rough on tires (and brakes to a greater extent), so she is a perfect test driver to put these tires through their roughest challenges.
