Initial Review: 1,500 miles on tires

Primary reason for choosing the Defender was for Ride Comfort and Noise Level. The Honda CR-V is notorious for road noise. The OEM Bridgestone 470's wore well (51,000 miles)but were so noisy, I really did not want to drive long trips. The vehicle has been transformed relative to noise and ride over sharp bumps...ie., railroad tracks. Although still no Lexus, it is much quieter and relaxed which makes highway speed travel acceptable. There is also a marked improvement in handling and gas mileage. Too early to quantify gas mileage improvement but based on 1500 miles, the improvement appears to be approx 1.5 MPG. So far I am very impressed with this tire. I will update this review as the miles increase.
