Initial Review, 1,000 Miles on Tires A week ago I replaced a set of Michelin Energy, worn out at about 40,000 mi with a set of new Defenders. I live in the Sierra foothills, about 30 miles of rough twisting pavement to the nearest town. These new Defenders are much quieter than the old. Handling was good before but even better now.
