Follow-Up Review: 40,000 miles on tires
Initially I thought I got a great deal with these tires. Boy was I wrong! Because of a job change I was driving almost twice as much as before. At about 35 thousand miles I noticed that the wear-bars were appearing on two tires. I also noticed a remarkably different traction last winter, particularly on ice. Come late winter, early spring, I noticed all four tires had wear-bars showing. Warranty of 85,000 miles my butt! After attempting to retrieve pro-rated replacements and failing I replaced them with a different brand after close to 40,000 miles. Not only will I never buy this model again, I will never buy Krapho tires again!!
Initial Review: 15,000 miles on tires
I needed replacement tires and wanted a somewhat smoother ride than the current tires but with good traction living in Michigan. I checked various tires for the vehicle and looked at ratings and reviews. I was leaning toward the Kumho when some of the reviews for this tire worried me. I spoke with my tire dealer and he had Kumho tires on his vehicle, although not this particular model. I decided that with the price I would give them a try. I'm glad I did. I bought the tires almost a year ago and now have over 15000 miles on them. I was waiting until winter driving for the real test. I was not disappointed. They were very good or excellent in light snow, deep snow and even ice. The tread is still excellent. I would not hesitate to buy these again!
