Kumho Road Venture MT KL71
Follow-Up Review: 20,000 miles on tires
After only 20,000 miles and $1,000 the tires are worn out and need replacing. The only way I would EVER buy these tires again is if I had a rig for off road only that would NEVER see any street use. Great off road tire but horrible for any street driving. the noise level staid constant during the entire life of the tire never got noisier or any quieter. Also fuel economy staid the same at 12.5 hwy and 8 city.
Initial Review: 6,000 miles on tires
I bought these tires for my 02 GMC 1500HD Crew Cab 4x4. The look is awesome but as soon as I switched my for these my gas mileage dropped bad. My mileage went from 10 city 19 highway to 8.5 city and 12.5 highway. By my calculations I will use an extra 1400 Gal of gas, yes 1400 Gal compared to my older tires durring the life of the tire. The cool looks are not worth the SEVERE loss in gas mileage. I have driven about 6000 miles and the tread is only worn about 3/32 which is not bad for a M/T tire. I rotate my tires every oil change which is 3000 miles. The noise level is starting to get worse with the more mileage that I put on these tires. I used the chalk trick to find the correct air pressure which was 45 in the front and 35 in the rears for even tread wear.
