Initial Review, 18,000 Miles on Tires This truck is used for working as a contractors vehicle, some city driving, more highway driving, job sites, and pulling a trailer, being driven about 50,000mi/yr. The first tire on this truck was the Goodyear Wrangler, which was okay overall, but lot of noise on the highway. Second tire was the BFGoodrich All Terrain, which was okay overall, but very poor in rain and hydroplaning and ice. Third tire was the Dayton Timberline A/T which, really lacked in all areas in my opinion. Fourth tire was the Mastercraft Courser A/T which I ranked fairly well in all areas, except the highway noise was very prominent on it. And was actually hoping to get the Mastercraft Courser A/T again but they were no longer available. Now having the Kumho Road Venture A/T, which seems to be the BEST tire of all these others, surpasses even the Mastercraft by a couple of points. I was surprised how 'quiet' the Kumho's were compared to all these other tire models. And the traction in gravel really is quite good. We've had our first snow here now (8inches). Being one of the first people out on the fresh snow, I was very pleased with that performance as well. My Personal vehicle is 1988 full sized Blazer having the Mastercraft Couser C/T, which I have ranked well, except for wet pavement and ice. I think I will be using the Kumho Road Venture A/T on the Blazer too. I really like this tire ! And I feel it is an excellent value at $880/set intalled on the 2008 Z-71 !
