Kumho Ecsta 4X
Follow-Up Review: 4,700 miles on tires
Now with 4700 miles on the Kumhos, I find that the steering response is poorer than the RSAs OEM tires they replaced. I feel some railing to greater extent, too many steering corrections. I'm going to have the Wheel Alignment checked at the dealer (it was newly aligned when I installed the new tires in Sept.). I also sense more Understeer than the Eagles. Although it was a great Value for the buck, in retrospect, should've went with Michelins. PS: we haven't had much snow since last year, so i can't comment on light snow or icy conditions' response.
Initial Review: 800 miles on tires
Just acquired these for my Infiniti g37X to replace the OEM Goodyear Eagle RSAs which still had 3/32nds left with 35K miles. They had become less smooth after 20k miles which is a common complaint about the Eagles. Initial impressions of the Kumhos show that it is quieter, smoother, seems to exhibit solid grip in the recent rains, but at a slight sacrifice to the steering/handling response. I can't opine on the snow traction yet.
