Initial Review, 20,000 Miles on Tires My wife drives about 30,000 miles a year so I am probably not going to get two seasons out of any ultra high performance tire anyway so I took a chance on the Kumho's because they were cheap. Immediately the car rode quieter and seemed to roll better on these than the Continental cross contact, which has a grabbier tread pattern, but wore fast anyway even being about $50 more expensive per tire. I like the way the Kumho handles. The car seemed to float and roll better and these were much quieter than the Conti's. Not so sure about treadwear yet. To be continued. This is my second set of Kumho's I have owned and although I am not a proponent of always buying the cheapest tire, as I have expensive Michelins on my Highlander, the Kumho is a great cheap alternative if for whatever reason you don't think its necessary to spend extra money. Only drove in the snow once and car moved without problem up a snowy hill, but that could be the 4matic system too and not the tire.
