Initial Review, 200 Miles on Tires
May 19, 2012
I purchased these tires 2 days ago replacing a set of four Michelin Pilot MXM4. In my honest opinion, I dont know what Honda was thinking when they decided to use that as an OE tire.
The Michelin were ok to say the least. For the price one would pay for the Michelin ($214/tire for my car), you'd expect well above par performance, ride comfort, etc.
I was originally looking to get a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS; however, these stuck out because of their price ($120/tire) and the survey rating matched that of the continental tire and the $50 MIR.
So far, the car has been a joy to drive again. I just bought the car 6 months ago and the front tires, which were new from the dealer, went from 9/32 to 4/32 in 6 months, 12000 miles. They have restored my faith in the cars agility, grip, smooth ride, noise level and a host of other things. What I love doing is not braking when I make turns so I love making sharp turns. The tires dont even let go of the pavement for a second.
I literally got the tires two days ago so I haven't done any extensive driving and the weathers been relatively warm. Ill post back in a few months with as soon as the tire sees some rain and Ill post back in the winter for the snow. But for now, these tires are absolutely great for the price and their value.
