Follow-Up Review: 1,000 miles on tires
May 29, 2012
It has been about 800 miles since I last posted my original review. And I'm glad to post on my follow up at the tires are even better than then day o bought them.

The day I purchase them, I was actually nervous because after reading so many reviews saying that the tires were quiet they were actually quite loud for the first week.

The response of the tires, the handling, the quietness, and ride comfort have increased dramatically. On roads that were pretty loud the first week it has gotten very quiet. LIterally, the only thing I hear is a slight turbulence around the car and that's about it. I actually enjoyed not having to music on for

There is, however, something odd with the new tires and I dont know if it's just me: my MPG has dropped 2 points from 24.5 to 22.5. I dont know if it's because the tire is new or the rolling resistance is high. But hey, at least i can drive with confidence with grip on my tires.
Initial Review: 200 miles on tires
May 19, 2012

I purchased these tires 2 days ago replacing a set of four Michelin Pilot MXM4. In my honest opinion, I don't know what Honda was thinking when they decided to use that as an OE tire.

The Michelin were ok to say the least. For the price one would pay for the Michelin ($214/tire for my car), you'd expect well above par performance, ride comfort, etc.

I was originally looking to get a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS; however, these stuck out because of their price ($120/tire) and the survey rating matched that of the continental tire and the $50 MIR.

So far, the car has been a joy to drive again. I just bought the car 6 months ago and the front tires, which were new from the dealer, went from 9/32" to 4/32" in 6 months, 12000 miles. They have restored my faith in the cars agility, grip, smooth ride, noise level and a host of other things. What I love doing is not braking when I make turns so I love making sharp turns. The tires don't even let go of the pavement for a second.

I literally got the tires two days ago so I haven't done any extensive driving and the weathers been relatively warm. I'll post back in a few months with as soon as the tire sees some rain and I'll post back in the winter for the snow. But for now, these tires are absolutely great for the price and their value.
