Initial Review, 41,000 Miles on Tires Put a set of these on my '06 Xterra after finally killing the factory Bridgestones at around 50,000 miles. Road noise right off the bat was the same as the standard tires, no difference positive or negative. Never noticed significant differences in fuel economy or handling on paved roads, but the SilentArmors were far superior in snow, SERIOUS snow, and off road (I live in high alpine Colorado). I also read that previous reviewers reported premature tread wear which I never experienced either (and as I reported, I think my driving is definitely 'spirited' in both 2wd and 4wd). In fact, with over 2 years and 40,000 miles on these tires as of May 2012, I plan on replacing them with another set before the new year, although it probably wouldn't be necessary if I was more careful.
