Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT
Follow-Up Review: 3,200 miles on tires
Please keep in mind that this update and the number ratings are for a rear wheel drive Mustang driven cautiously in about six inches of snow. The dry rating is compared to Perelli P-Zeroes on dy paved roads.

I was finally able to drive the mustang in the snow and these tires made a world of difference even compared to my old snow tires. I never got stuck. Even when the snow melted and the roads were icy and as long as you take it easy the traction is great.

These tires will get you where you need to go in the snow and ice as long as you take it easy.
Initial Review: 300 miles on tires
The Perelli PZero's are the best tires out there for dry fast driving however they are pretty much useless in the snow. My old snows gave me 3 good years but the manufacturer stopped making that model so new snow tires were needed.
After reading many reviews and talking to a lot of Mustang drivers I determined that there was no concensus on which snow tire was the best so I decided to try something new.
I was pleasantly suprised with the ride with the WRT's. They are no where near the Pirelli's in spirited handling but if I was driving a family sedan the WRT's would be just fine. In heavy rain the WRT's are much better than the Pirelli's and the old snows.
The WRT's are a little noisier than the other too but still not too bad.
Overall I think these are great tires especially for the price but I have not had them in snow yet. I will update the review once I've had a chance to try them out in the white stuff.
Just a footnote: I had the tires installed at my local Firestone shop and they did a great job at a very reasonable price.
