Initial Review, 21,000 Miles on Tires

Pretty satisfied with this set of tires. On a heavy, all wheel drive vehicle with lots of HP and very aggressive driving style, they lasted an amazing amount of time. I got 21k miles out of them. Tread is down to 6/32" on the inside 4/32" on the outside. Could probably get another 5k to 10k miles out of them but a nail ended their life early. Got a nail right where the sidewall meets the tread. Checked with a few shops and they all said it can't be patched/plugged.

Many review complain about noise on these tires. I experience no such noise after 21k miles. They are still significantly quieter than less aggressive tires I've had on this car such as Michelin MXV4, Pirelli P6 four season, Pirelli P zero nero.

I would've bought another set of these tires, but found the Kumho ECSTA 4X to be about $150 cheaper for a set of 4. So will give the Kumho's a try.

Driving in Central CA, we don't get any ice or snow. Just heavy rain a few months out of the year. Never hydroplaned, great wet/dry handling. Very confidence inspiring. The uneven wear (at the end of their life, had 6/32" on the inside and 4/32" on the outside) maybe due to sport suspension on the car. Alignment is right on. No cupping or feathering.

Overall an excellent tire!
