Initial Review, 20,000 Miles on Tires
I mounted these on my wife's car after work one night, and drove out on them into a snowstorm- 5 inches accumulated with no plowtrucks in sight, this was in the North Country in New York. They took my wife through some intense snowstorms, without her destroying her car, which speaks volumes of the tires' winter capabilities. Since then til now, they continue to impress. Went from NNY through Chicago, St Louis, OK City, on down to Central Texas, moving home, fully loaded. A pothole bent a rim and the tire survived. Other reviews of this tire feeling too neutral on-center are bogus. Wet weather characteristics are good, the tread voids and pattern work well at all levels, and I've yet to get them numb in any frog-drowners. Highway noise is completely livable. Dry cornering is impeccable with gradual breakaway at the limit. They hold pressure well throughout the seasons. At install, they balanced easily enough, after difficult mounting from some pretty stiff sidewalls. In all, a very fine tire and great value.
