Follow-Up Review: 40,000 miles on tires

This is my third set of these but the first with the V rating. These have a higher tread wear rating than the W's that I had before. The wear improvement is obvious. At 25k miles they still look like new. More than 50% of the tread is still left - I will get over 40k on these easy! I assume these have a harder rubber compound because I notice it is easier to spin the tires on colder and wet days.. In the big picture these are still better for me because I live in a primarily sunny and warm climate and the increased wear with a slight reduction in traction is perfectly acceptable. The handling and noise levels are still great! It is interesting that other surveys for tread wear and noise for these tires are so poor. My car is on the small and light side - maybe that should be considered when buying these...
Initial Review: 35,000 miles on tires

I am on my second set of these tires for this car. This was the first time I ever bought the same tire twice. These tires are great on this car. Responsive, quiet, and they wear great considering the performance and relatively low price. I got 35k miles (mostly highway) on the first set and look to get about the same on the second (rotated every 10k miles). I live in So. Cal so they only saw a few days of heavy rain and one day of snow up in the mountains - they performed really well in these cases. I think it is a great tire that i would likely buy a third time.
