Initial Review, 1,500 Miles on Tires The second generation F1 Supercar tires are absolutely wonderful for a pretty specific audience: drivers who want a warm-weather tire for both street and track use. I have them on my Z06 and they are a perfect match for me. The tires are quiet and ride well (for a Z06, anyway) and stay sticky at lower temperatures than the original F1 Supercar tires. On the road course they are very progressive at the limit and I can get on the throttle much earlier when exiting a turn than with the original F1s. The second generation F1s also are very consistent throughout a track session and do not seem to get slippery no matter how hard I push them. Braking performance is phenomenal. Tire wear after multiple track sessions looks minimal. If you plan on driving your 505 bhp sports car hard in the rain or at temperatures below 50 deg F then I do not recommend this tire. If you want a tire that you can use in good weather on the street and push hard on the track, which is what the Corvette Z06 is designed for, then this tire is awesome.
