Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric
Follow-Up Review: 400 miles on tires
September 29, 2011
Update--the F1s are doing great Im very happy with the tires. I switched from the Hankook V12 Evo, and the F1 is a far superior tire. V12 Evo was a terrible handling tire (see my other review). The F1 has an excellent combination of good looks, great road grip, sharp steering response, ride comfort, and quiet noise level. I had to mark the tire down in treadwear though--240 is very low, and I dont expect the tires to last more than 10K miles at the most. From reading other reviews, this tire has a poor treadwear rating. But thats to be expected in an ultra hi performance tire.
Initial Review: 100 miles on tires
September 03, 2011

I just got these F1s on my car after having a recent poor experience with the Hankook V12 Evo. I'm so much happier with the F1! I had the F1 AS before which was a stellar performing tire. The F1 Asymmetric has excellent grip, solid and sharp steering response, rides smooth, and is quiet. I don't know about tread life as they are new, but with a rating of 240 I expect maybe I'll get 10-15K miles on them. Not a great tread life, but that's to be expected with this kind of tire. I had the Hankook V12 Evo just before, and they were terrible. Soft, squishy handling that felt very insecure. I'm glad to be back with Goodyear!
