Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2
Initial Review: 1,000 miles on tires
April 18, 2014

Goodyear will score well with the Eagle F1 Asymmetrical 2 offering. I wanted an non-run flat for our 09 Corvette and this new Goodyear seemed to be the pick of the litter. With a 45k mi. tread wear warranty it fit our expectation for performance in a daily driver that would see all types of driving conditions. Our most recent outing included a 700 mile round trip to south Texas. We drove in highway and urban traffic, heavy rain and dry highway miles combined. The Goodyear tires surprised this driver particularly in the wet in heavy San Antonio traffic never a slip and providing predictable steering feedback in either wet or dry. For some reason, Goodyear just can't seem to calm the road noise its products generate. Michelin just has Goodyear whipped in the category but with the 500 tread wear rating and expectations of lots of miles to be turned the tires will last years on the Corvette.
