Goodyear Assurance TripleTred
Follow-Up Review: 71,272 miles on tires

Overall it is about what I expected. The tire tread wear rating on the Goodyear TripleTred is 80,000 miles.I don't expect them to make it that far as they are getting very close to the wear bars at 71,000 miles despite rotation every 5,000 miles along with conservative driving. But they are far better than the original Goodyear OEM tires that came with the car, they were shot at less than 20,000 mi.
I purchased this car used with only 10,400 mi on it. so I don't know how agressively the previous owner drove it.
I have to admit that the original tires were a lot quieter and got 2-3mpg better mileage than the TripleTreds.
Initial Review: 70,000 miles on tires

Replaced the original equipment Goodyear tires (which were worn out at less than 20,000 miles)with these based on positive reviews by you & others. I am mostly pleased with their overall performance except for tread wear. They are supposed to be guaranteed for 80,000 miles, but are down to the wear bars at 70,000 miles even with balancing & rotation every 5,000 miles. They also seem to get out of balance more quickly than they ought to.I should mention that I do not drive aggressively in the city or highway. I was told that they are going to be discontinued & replaced with a new version. I hope the new version has better tread life and holds the line on pricing.
