Follow-Up Review: 44,000 miles on tires
October 24, 2011
So I have put 64,900+ miles on these tires. I noticed about 2,000 miles ago I was getting really large cracks on the side walls. I know tires can get micro cracks from intense heat over time, but these were really big cracks. I had Tire Kingdom inspect them because that is where I bought them, and they said that they were going to need to be replaced do to how deep the cracks were.

Luckily I was still in the Good Year 4 year warranty range, and that this was something that GoodYear covered.

Anyway, Good Year was fantastic about crediting me the remaining wear and trading me out another set.

Overall I have to say the Tripletreds are the best tires I've ever had. Yes, there a bit noisy but they are MONSTERS on wet roads. Living in Florida where it rains almost every day, these tires I know have brought my crazy driving wife home safely numerous times.

Even though I was 15,000 miles short of the 80,000 miles promised me I would still recommend them. My father has the same tired on his car, and now has close to 65,000 on his with zero problems.

I went ahead and replaced the Triple Treds with Good Year Assurance Comfort Treds. These tires are fantastic as well.

Anyway, that's the life of a set of Triple treds for me. I would have gotten another set of triple treds, but the Tire Kingdom I was at was all sold out of them.
Initial Review: 21,000 miles on tires
April 24, 2009

I bought four of these tires just over two years ago, and I have nothing but good to say about them. I live in Florida where it rains cats and dogs during the summer, and they are excellent on wet roads. They are also excellent on dry roads as well. I've put 21,000 miles on them now, and they barely show any where at all. I do rotate them every 6,000 miles on the dot, so I am sure that has helped with the wear life. These tires are excellent and worth every penny. I'm pretty confident I'll get at least 70-75,000 miles out of these as promised.

The only complaint is they do add a little noise to your driving, but it doesn't bother me at all. You have to give and take ya know.
