Initial Review, 1,500 Miles on Tires
This is my 2nd review. I bought my tires last year late in the season then I had to change to Winter.(Canadian,Montreal bylaw)Now that the tire is broken in and I've had a chance to really drive them hard, my opinon has not changed. This is one of the best tires I have bought in a long time! When the roads are wet, I still have a big problem spinning them, even when I try! It seems that they just stick to the road. As for road noise,I don't understand why some people complain, sometimes you have to take a little to get a little. That said, yes, there is a little more noise, but its a small price to pay for an otherwise great tire. I would also have no problem at all driving them in snow, but in Montreal, Dec. 15 is the cut off day and then it's the law to have 4 Winter tires installed. In my opinon, its a good law because here in the great city of Montreal it seems that drivers lack knowledge on how to drive in the elements. No joke, but just a little rain can back up traffic for miles! And always, one of my pet peeves, most drivers will have there wipers on maximum when the setting should be the first click on your intermitent wiper control. Most Montreal drivers have no buisnuss on the road, period! May be if they would put a set of Goodyear All Season Triple Treds on, they would not be driving(if you can call it that)like they got their licsense out of a Cracker Jacks box!! All this said, so far there is no(I checked)tire wear at all!I have driven them hard for about 1,200 miles and there is mabe 1/16 of wear!! And the way it controls my 2010 Charger I would be the first one to recommand these tires to everyone. There are two kinds of Trip. Treds, the better ones are a few extra dollars, but well worth it. They have an A/S at the end of the name. Don't wait, buy them!! Just something I noticed, people who rated the tire poorly have smaller lighter cars. I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but it seems to be true.
