Initial Review: 35,500 miles on tires
August 26, 2012

I bought these tires as an alternative to the OEM Michelin LX4s since I had not had great wear on two sets of those back in December of 2009 (34K on the original set and 28K on the second set). The reviews of this time were generally positive and I was really interested in the 50K warranty. However, these tires developed a balancing problem after the Goodyear 6 month warranty. My dealer could not get the tires to stay balanced and even used a force balancer to try to help. They attempted to work with Goodyear to no avail. Somehow, Goodyear decided that a balancing problem was not a manufacturing defect. So, here I am with 35,500 miles on a 50,000 mile rated tire with only 3mm of tread left before the winter season. The handling is terrible right now because of the balancing issues and the tires have become very loud on the highway. I will not be going to Goodyear at this point to deal with a tread life warranty claim.
